Director, Digital Ad Operations

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Digital & Development Officer for Refuel Agency, this position is responsible for all of Refuel Agency's Digital Ad Operations, and Digital Media Buying activity with strong emphasis on campaign performance. The Director is responsible for the successful campaign development, execution and performance optimization of all client campaigns sold by the Refuel Sales Organization (RSO). S/He manages a team of operational specialists that work closely with ad tech partners, publishers, advertisers and agencies to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the media planning & buying lifecycle achieving high levels of client retention. This person is a highly motivated individual to take responsibility for developing and leading a team to oversee all related processes, and to scale the company's solution(s) to ensure our achievement of annual digital media revenue and profit goals.


 


Primary Activities and Responsibilities:



  • Lead, manage and/or develop ad operations, planning & buying teams of digital media experts


  • Ensure all campaign strategies are designed to meet client expectations of performance


  • Oversee the successful execution of campaigns to ensure full delivery & meet performance expectations


  • Oversee the ad troubleshooting process to successfully overcome challenges


  • Standardize campaign optimization processes and campaign performance reporting models


  • Participate in and/or lead communication with sales and/or client POC's to articulate campaign performance and/or optimization recommendations to ensure client retention


  • Establish and report on Refuel performance benchmarks to the RSO


  • Assist in the training and development of the RSO to meet minimum knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem specific to Refuel's digital capabilities


  • Support the RSO with effective client communication of digital capabilities to increase sales of digital media


  • Oversee and ensure client billing processes are timely and accurate


  • Internally cultivate relationships, remove barriers and participate in problem solving


  • Participate in "brain storming" sessions with applicable internal stakeholders to achieve creative client and company solutions


  • Perform other related work as required


     



Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited University or equivalent experience


  • At least 5 years of Ad Ops experience with Digital Publisher and/or Advertising Agency


  • Demonstrable success leading ad ops and buying teams executing cross-device digital & social media strategies.


  • Strong background in programmatic buying and the use of data to effectively target niche audiences


  • Familiar with Data Management Platforms (DMP's)


  • Familiar with all DoubleClick ad tech systems



 


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Deep understanding of media agency operations and campaign processes


  • Strong knowledge of the digital media landscape and how to cultivate company growth within the industry


  • Ability to translate advertiser objections into actionable plans


  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an analytical mindset


  • Experience with advertising or sales platforms is a plus


  • Ability to carefully manage and control costs and profitability


  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally


  • Ability to compile and analyze market and financial data for effective decision making


  • Ability to create digital demand for spending in targeted consumer segments including youth, military, multicultural and local audiences


  • Ability to develop custom digital solutions tailored to client needs


  • Ability to research, and understand the customer's perspective and their competitive options


  • Business knowledge and the ability to handle multiple projects, requests and priorities at the same time


  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital media solutions


  • Demonstrated ability to professionally develop and coach team members


  • Experience building digital marketing & communications plans from the ground up and measuring their success


  • Strong public speaking, presentation, oral and written communication skills


  • Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and public relations skills



 


Job Requirements:



  • Frequent travel to NYC office location


  • Sporadic travel to participate in sales & campaign recap presentations

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
